- " The medical application of Radio-isotopes " Held from 16/4/1966 to 23/6/1966 by the middle eastern regional Radio-istope center for arab countries in cooperation with international atomic energy agency .
- Postgraduate courses in Hematology ( clinical and laboratory ) attended in vienna faculty of Medicine through a fellowship from Nov 1970 to september 1971 .
- " postgraduate course in cancerology " held in the M.R.I (Alex Univ ) by the American cancer society from 22 to 24 December 1975 .
Scientific Activities :
- construction of a " clinical and laboratory Hematology Department " in the M.R.I in early 1960's . the nature of such department was the 1 st in egypt and the middle east . it allows us to go hand in hand with others advanced countries and added agreat advance in the diagnosis and the management of hematology disorders .
- in early 1960's i did delicate researches on the suprarenal gland and in 1970 discovered - for the 1 st time in Egypt - two cases of addison's disease this allowed the detection and management of others cases of this fatal disease.
- in 1977 i discovered - for the 1 st time in egypt - cases of human fascioliasis this cancelled the previous reports claiming that the intermediate host is not present in Egypt and thus humans cannot be affected by the this worm in Egypt . i indicated the most effective drugs for treatment . in 1979 i detected certain areas around Alexandria in which human fascioliasis was endmic . these areas were properly dealt with by co-operation with thw department of tropical medicine (M.R.I)
- i delivered lectures in the preparatory research - training course in the M.R.I and thus shared in constructing a good basis for medical research work in the M.R.I
- i delivered lectures in pediatric Hematology ( under and postgraduate )
- i shared in the supervision and in the examination of several theses for master and doctor degrees .
- i established a high standard clinical and laboratory scientific atomosphere in the H.D which lead to the development of extremely high standard staff in the department which has - thus- been allowed to teach and give the doctor degree in clinical and lab Hematology .
- i shared in several local and international scientific meetings and received several appreciation certificates |
