Appointments
1. House Officer: one year in Alexandria University Hospitals from the first of March 1996 to 28th of February 1997.

2. Resident in the Ministry of Health from first of March 1997 to 17th of December 1997.

3. Residency in Alexandria University for three years from 18th of December 1997 to 17th of December 2000, I was first appointed in the Haematology Department and being very interested in the Paediatric Haematology ,I decided to chose it as my future subspecialty .Therefore ,I was referred to the Paediatric Department in the Faculty of Medicine ,to obtain my core training in Paediatrics . Alexandria Faculty of Medicine University hospitals have a total bed capacity of 3497 beds .
My residency lasted three years and included rotations in General Paediatric, Paediatric ER , PICU and NICU ,Paediatric Haematology unit , and Haematology Department.
I was responsible for several patient care activities including : initial and follow up assessment of patients , taking history and physical examination, completion of medical records , perform procedures , write treatment and discharge plans ,patient education and management of emergency situations.


4. Demonstrator of Haematology Medical Research Institute, Alexandria University. (From 30th of June 2001 to 24th of December 2002) I obtained this post after attaining my core training in Paediatrics and had a Master Degree in Paediatric.
I was responsible for haematology patient admission to Haematology department both benign and malignant including history taking , initial and follow up assessment ,treatment and discharge plans , chemotherapy administration, management of haematologic emergencies ,intrathecal chemotherapy , bone marrow aspiration and biopsy. I also worked in haematology outpatient clinic for management and follow up of bleeding disorders , anemia and malignant haematology diseases ( acute and chronic leukaemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma ,myeloproliferative disorders ). I covered on calls according to department rota. I also assisted in teaching .



5. Assisstant Lecturer of Haematology, Medical Research Institute, Alexandria University (from 25th of December 2002 to 28th of August 2007) I was enrolled in the training for the doctoral degree in Benign and malignant Haematology in September 2001 and completed it in July 2007. Training for the specialty of haematology encompasses both clinical and laboratory practice.
I was also involved in care of Haematology patients both adult and paediatric as in patient and out patient , I did daily in patient rounds ,attented for the various haematology cout patient clinics and was responsible for the diagnosis , management and follow up of haematology patients .I covered on calls according to department rota .
I supervised junior medical staff and was involved in their training, assisted in teaching and conducted research .




6. Lecturer of Haematology, Medical Research Institute, Alexandria University (From 29th of August 2007 until current time).As a lecturer in Alexandria University my main duties included Patient care , Teaching and Research.
I provided medical care for benign and malignant Haematology patients both adult and paediatric ,including chemotherapy administration as well as cover haematology consultations for various specialties . I also performed bone marrow aspirations and have regular duties for morphology and haematology lab as well as the blood bank.
I had regular teaching lectures and rounds for medical students , junior staff and trainees for the doctoral degree in Haematology and diploma of blood banking.
I participated in research and supervised the researches of junior staff .
I joined Hospital wide Patient Safety Committee in January 2008 until May 2011 and I was specifically concerned with safety of blood transfusion administration .
Moreover ,I was an a member in the in the Quality Assurance Unit from September 2007 until May 2011 . During which I was the Quality Coordinator in Haematology department , participated in internal audits and a member of the Disaster Team.
I have also participated in organizing several conferences held by the Medical Research Institute.


7.Consultant of Paediatric Haematology and haemoncology at the Students Insurance Hospital, General Institute of Health Insurance.
8. Consultant Paediatric Haematology ,Prince Sultan Oncology Center, Prince Salman North West Armed Forces Hospital , Tabuk ,KSA My duties are to provide medical care for Haematology Paediatric Patient, including diagnosis ,and management of childhood leukaemia and lymphomas; management of different types of anaemias and bleeding disorders ; provide consultations for other general and specialist paediatric services in the hospital. I also perform procedures as bone marrow aspiration/biopsy and intrathecal chemotherapy.
I take on call duties with accordance with departmental rota, and participate in teaching and training of residents ,junior staff medical students, and nursing staff.
As well as participation in the departmental educational activities as scientific presentations , the journal club , tumor board and mortality and morbidity meetings. I have coordinated and organized numerous scientific workshops and symposiums as well as public awareness campaigns and celebrations for Childhood Cancer Survivors treated in the Center.
Moreover ,I have edited several Policy and Procedures Guidelines and Clinical Guidelines in the hospital.
I also have active role in quality management ,patient safety and infection control implementation and improvement plans in the center. I have initiated and was the chairman for the Hospital wide Blood Transfusion Team in 29th Sep 2011 ,the team was concerned with safety blood transfusion , appropriate requesting of blood and blood products and investigation of transfusion reactions .
In May 2013 ,I was promoted to Head of Paediatric Haematology/Oncology Section; which required managerial responsibilities in addition to patient management .I became responsible for supervising the work flow ,arranging staff duties , handling patient complains , solving problems and coordinating with other departments in the hospital .
