OBJECTIVES
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) is an extremely important research technique for identifying cellular or specific tissue component that acts as antigen in a tissue section, based on its binding to labeled antibody using light and electron microscope. The course aims to know and recognize basic knowledge of IHC and its need in tumor biology science use the available tools with available mono and poly colonel anti-bodies to detect on the paraffin and frozen sections. Identify and demonstrate the tumor marker, antireceptor and antiviral detection by immunohistochemical techniques.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
By the end of this course, students should be able to:-
- Prepare immunohistochemical sections
- Detect mono and poly colonel anti-bodies on the paraffin and frozen sections
- Define quality standards of the practice with fundamentals of ethics and legal.
- Interpret different staining results
