*Lab Experiments:

1-      Isolation of lymphocytes from human peripheral blood. Enumaration and analysis of T&B cells.

2-      Dissection of a mouse for identification of different lymphoid organs. 

2^nd DAY (3/7/2005) :-

 *Lecture:

1-      Antigens and immunogens. ((Dr. Lobna Shamaa)

2-      Immunoglobulins : structure and function. (Prof. Dr. Sohir Rizk)

3-      An overview of antigen antibody interaction and its detection. (Dr. Hossam Ghoneim)

*Lab Experiments:

1-      Precipitation reactions and their diagnostic applications (Turbidimetry, Nephlometry and Immunodiffusion).

3^rd DAY (4/7/2005) :-

*Lecture:

1-      Effector mechanism of nonspecific immune responses. (Prof. Dr. Mona Hamdy)

2-      Effector mechanisms of specific immune response. (Prof. Dr. Karim Kamal)

*Lab Experiments:

1-      Tests for phagocytosis.

2-      Tissue culture.

4^th DAY (5/7/2005) :-

*Lecture:

1-      Cytokines, adhesion molecules, and other mediators of the Immune systems. ((Prof. Dr. Nabila El- Sheick / Dr. Seham Abo-Shousha)

2-      Hypersensitivity. (Prof. Dr. Ezzat Hassan)

*Lab Experiments:

1-Chemiluminescence, ELISA and RIA and their diagnostic applications.

5^th DAY (6/7/2005) :-

*Lecture:

1-      Immunity to infectious diseases. (Prof Dr. Samy Afifi)

*Lab Experiments:

1-      Immunofluoresence, Immunohistochmistry and their application in diagnosis of autoimmune diseases.

6^th DAY (7/7/2005) :-

*Lecture:

1-      Complement system in diseases. (Prof. Dr. Amina Hussein)

2-      HLA (clinical association with diseases). (Prof. Dr. Iman Rashwan)

*Lab Experiments:

1-      SDS and western blot.

2-      Haemmagglutination.
